In airborne application the vibration requirement is a critical issue and a rigid waveguide configuration could compromise the mechanical integrity of the waveguide path; in this case a flexible twistable waveguide is necessary to compensate the vibrations and to absorb the mechanical stress. Also in those applications where a waveguide path must connect the transmitter unit to the antenna or the antenna to the receiver, a flexible waveguide
